Role: Sponsorship Activation
Flockstar.co is a creative crowdsourcing website operated by The Marketing Arm creative agency. The Marketing Arm submits a creative brief and participants can submit ideas to win money.
Background:
For the 2015-2016 NBA season, State Farm activated their league-wide sponsorship by donating $5 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America for every assist that was made during an NBA game.
Objective:
Find the intersection of State Farm’s new campaign (Here to help life go right) and the NBA, focusing on the combination of State Farm services (Auto, Home, Life, Banking, etc).
My Plan:
State Farm picks winning combinations of stats each week (#WinningCombination), such as most Assists, Points, Blocks, Rebounds, etc. Fans go online and select NBA Players that they believe will have the #WinningCombination of stats for that particular week. There will be weekly winners of NBA gear and an eventual season champion.
Result:
My idea won 1st place in the contest.
